I should also add that many Trump supporters are simply too afraid to come out as such for fear of losing their jobs and their friends and family members and I can totally empathize with how they've been unfairly demonized as ignorant, racist bigots by media both at home and abroad. Trump haters can easily come out and say f Donald Trump without consequence because that is the "it" thing to do.

Surveys showed that significant proportions of Trump supporters hold negative views of immigrants, Muslims, and African-Americans. The Pew Research Center found that 69 percent of Trump supporters viewed immigrants as a burden, rather than a benefit, to the US, and 64 percent believed that American Muslims should be subject to greater scrutiny solely on the basis of their religion. Reuters found that Trump supporters were more than twice as likely as Clinton supporters to view Islam negatively. Trump supporters were also more likely than supporters of other candidates to hold negative views of African-Americans. Reuters reported that 40–50 percent of Trump supporters viewed African-Americans as being more "lazy", "rude", "violent", or "criminal" than whites, compared to 25–30 percent for Clinton supporters; while 32 percent of Trump supporters believed that African-Americans were less intelligent than whites, compared to 22 percent of Clinton supporters.

Idk man, it looks like at least half of trump's fans are actually racist. Not surprised since they supported the guy who claimed Mexican immigrants are mexico's worst, arab americans cheer on 9/11, Ilhan Omar and AOC should "go back to their countries" and black people are the murderers in 81% of homicides involving a white victim.

Well they definitely shouldn't have to fear losing their jobs. That should actually be illegal.

Losing their friends though? Their family? The hell kind of friend would dump them for supporting the wrong candidate? The kind of friend not worth having, I think. And family likewise. That you think people are really that petty and nasty is very troubling.

And this is all an emotionally loaded concoction to explain that Trump is not doing so well in the polls, I expect?

I'm getting real tired of all the whining from Trump fans about "everyone's calling me racist." They supported a guy who said alot of racist shit on the campaign trail, and they're part of the crew, part of the ship when they join team Trump. Don't wanna be called racist? Don't support the CEO of racism. It's that easy

Unsurprisingly, supporting an asshole candidate gets you accused of being an asshole.

Sure, you might not be an asshole, that's a real possibility. But if you're saying "I support the asshole", you really shouldn't be surprised that people take it to mean you're also an asshole.

Trump declares that China will pay for the Stimulus Bill. "They're the ones that caused this problem!"
We all remember when Trump tried to get Mexico to pay for his wall, right? Well, now it seems he's got it into his head that China, a known American rival, is going to pay to help Americans. I'm sorry, but this is just too damn funny to ignore. What does he think Xi's going to do? Actually pay 1.8 trillion dollars to a man he despises, and to help a country he despises?

Friends and families are being distanced from each other across the nation due to politics. It's a bitter feeling, but it is also much too common. That fear drives people to associate with likeminded individuals, worsening polarization.

Job loss because of politics would be an illegal firing.....though it would depend on the state I guess?....probably more trump friendly states. Even in “the liberal hell hole” of California you can’t get fired for liking Trump.

As to friends and family? Well looking at my friends, associates, and family.

One was a trump/qanon supporter. He cut off anybody who would not bow before trump and or question qanon.
I have friends and family who are trump supporters and we really don’t talk anymore.

As to treated unfairly?

Ignorant? Yes. The ones I know don’t question or even look into claims. If Trump said, it’s true. If the anybody says otherwise, it’s fake news or you are a trump hater!!!!!! One cousin posted a debunked qanon conspiracy on facebook. It was flagged for speading misinformation. Her response? They are afraid of the truth!

Racist? Yes. The same cousin has my wife and all her cousins wondering if the cousin has a confederate flag in her basement now. The things she says about Mexicans and Black people......it’s her family though. They say things about mexicans which would make people go  They too are trump supporters.

Never mind the fact Trump loves this crap. If you sow chaos, people aren’t looking at what you are doing and it hides your incompetence.
