I have been practicing for months, studied for the temps test, took an online course, and drove for hours in a car with a stranger(whos car I threw up in today) to prepare for it, and you passed it on the first day you drove? Thats impressive and maybe illegal.

I learned the day of the test on a manual before taking the test on an automatic. I took the written part of the test when I was like 16 then still never touched a car after I was hired for my city parks job two years back. My job started the next day and I had to be able to drive.
I told them I had practiced a lot before hand and they seemed to believe me.

Well then, while doing the test itself on an automatic helps immensly either you’re still a natural and should seriously consider driving for living or something, or the testing standards are *very* different from what they’re here. Majority of the people here don’t pass the driving test on first try, and that’s after a dozen or so hours of driving lessons, a few hours of theory lessons and passing the theory exam.

I also had the motivation that if I failed I’d be fired in the morning and they’d know I lied to them about already being able to drive.

The road test is much easier here, I was told by swedes who have done both.

A new monk shows up at a monastery where the monks spend their time making copies of ancient books. The new monk goes to the basement of the monastery saying he wants to make copies of the originals rather than of others' copies so as to avoid duplicating errors they might have made. Several hours later the monks, wondering where their new friend is, find him crying in the basement. They ask him what is wrong and he says "the word is CELEBRATE, not CELIBATE!"
