Do you know anything about the Prague Spring? It began when Alexander Dubček announced a new direction dubbed "Socialism with a Human Face". It was not anti-communist, just as the Hungarian Revolution of 1956 was not anti-communist either.

Well the Soviets called them "fascist reactionaries" to justify killing them.

Kind of reminds me of another group of violent degenerates who thinks calling someone a "fascist" means it's okay to kill them.

America won't fall anytime soon. There are millions of armed patriots here in the States who will fight tooth and nail to keep their values, ways of life, and freedoms from being taken away from a foreign entity like China. The American people are much more resilient than you think. THE USA will never die as long as the people are still alive.

Fall doesn't imply being taken over. More like stagnant and losing its edge the same way Russia and Japan aren't intimidating nations as they once were.

The USA can pull a France and keep being a Great Power with nostalgia of its superpower days, or it can pull an Argentina believing it can tariff itself into prosperity before being the first and only 1st world country to fall back into developing status. It's very likely we're going for Argentina's path more than France's

The term "degenerate" has always been popular with Third Reich propagandists and the neonazi/alt-right hordes in order to describe anyone not like them, so there are quite a few possibilities.

I find your comparison strange because, out of these three countries, Argentina, rather distinctly, is not a world power (nor was it ever). Your analogy is made even more peculiar if you consider that the factors that led to the disruption of Argentine economic life are political in nature. It is something that was carried out essentially due to the inherent political instability that closely follows all Hispanic republics in Latin America. The capital's centralism, which is an intimidating presence throughout the country's history, and is the driving force behind Argentinian border expansion and the progressive colonization of regions like Patagonia (Argentina is basically Buenos Aires on steroids, that's what I always say), is reminiscent of Hispanic American caudillismo. Furthermore, one does not find in this unfortunate regression that occurred alongside 20th century developments in politics the characteristic of decadence, but rather a certain return to normality; a chaotic normality, yes, but a normality, nevertheless.

1. Not really - the movement is muted or impotent in most countries.
2. Doesn’t really matter whether they “should”, since they’ll do it anyway if the circumstances require it.
3. Up to you, really. Many would argue that the time is always.

The biggest argument against socialism is probably that socialist policies are detested most vehemently by the working class themselves. UK working people swung heavily in favour of the Tories this past election. 30% more of America’s white working class voted for Trump than did Hillary. By my experience the majority of avowed socialists these days are people who come from upper middle class families.
