On certain issues sure. On others; they are chances of swing votes.

This one? RvW comes up. She will vote to end it. She lies if she says she leaves her religion at the door. I have never seen anyone who is hard core be able to do that.

Do you mean hard core right wingers and hard core leftists?

I don't know if you are right or wrong on your statement above, but if it saves her seat, my fellow Republicans and I will be grateful to McConnell.

The vote apart from Republican Senator Susan Collins of Maine, was along biased right wing Republicans and biased Leftist Democrat Party lines.

52 to 48 to confirm and not to confirm.

GMS.

Honestly would be pretty chill if all political parties were banned. Unfortunately cannot do that because it's unconstitutional.

Yes, I said I would be chill if political parties were banned. It's not legal, though, so that's an option that can't be considered.

Everything's always been uber partisan.

It's not that it's become partisan, it's that both sides have moved farther away from their ideological starting points post-WWII. With the Dems becoming... more center left and most of the Reps basically becoming Right-Wing Extremists.

Why is it not legal?

1st Amendment
-Freedom of Speech
-Freedom of Assembly

It's pretty clear you can't ban 'em just from that. Plus there's the practical reason you'd have to get the parties to ban themselves (since they have all the power) and even if that law is passed the Supreme Court won't be in much of a mood to approve that what with the 1000 Court Cases it'd get right off the bat.
