The procedural vote to confirm is some time this evening. If ACB gets the votes to be confirmed, justice Thomas will swear her in right after the vote tonight.

It seems like the Democrats were much more succesful in pushing their narrative of GOP hypocrisy than vice versa—at least based on what I've read.

Probably because saying in 2007 that "they're opposed to nominating someone this close to an election" mirrors what is happening now, especially with...let's see, 7 days out? As opposed to a year?

There is some hypocrisy, sure, but this now is pretty spectacular. At least the GOP is being transparent about their motives. *shrugs*

Breaking News: Judge Amy Coney Barrett, ACB, a highly qualified US Supreme Court Justice nominee, nominated by Republican President Trump, has been confirmed as a US Supreme Court Justice by 52 to 48 votes.

On certain issues sure. On others; they are chances of swing votes.
