That being said, anything that disadvantages mail-in votes will probably disadvantage Blue, so the effect of the decision probably will be to shift the state further Red. On one hand, I'm quite sympathetic to the reasoning behind decision (not changing election rules so close to an election) and a deadline is a deadline, but on the other hand, if the current rules stand for the next elections, the possibility of voter suppression via "mysterious" and "unpredictable" delays in the mail service can't be discounted.

The current crisis has seen urban areas depopulate heavily. So people who lived there and didn't register for new locations will make up the majority of mail in ballots.
