The NFL or Watson can appeal the ruling though the former is more likely to do so given they wanted an indefinite suspension. The players' union has said they will stand by for the ruling and are urging the NFL to do so as well. Meanwhile, Calvin Ridley got a full season suspension for gambling.

How pathetic of a ruling.

Well, look at the upside. When the scumbag gets back in there, the refs aren't gonna call shit for him. He's gonna get folded like a lawn-chair by every defense out there.

I would love to watch JJ and TJ fold him like a lawn chair. Not to mention the Saints in Week 16. Cam Jordan folding him a dozen times in a game.

Who Dat!!

He settled all but one case and a grand jury twice failed to indict him.

I believe this decision was from an independent arbitrator and not from the NFL.

Don’t forget the time a player smoked weed and got a lifetime ban.

The NFL sends a clear message, sexual assault and harassment is ok but weed and gambling aren’t

The harsher punishments for gambling are at least justifiable, the league's existence depends on maintaining the perception that games aren't rigged.

I never did like when owners focused on moving to a different stadium. Now I have no clue what condition soldier field is in, but I always thought instead of moving just fix what needs to be fixed the owners for Boston did that with Fenway. Small changes or fixes are a lot better then a complete change.

They just ruined renovated it 20 years ago, but it's still the smallest stadium in the league with no real prospect of increasing capacity.

Plus I understand it's a nightmare to actually get to on game day.

It's the bears we wouldn't see max capacity if the bears played a playoff game at soldier field.

The NFL has stripped the Dolphins of their 2023 first-round pick, fines Stephen Ross $1.5M for tampering with Tom Brady and Sean Payton's agent.

Ross was also suspended through Oct. 17, during which time he isn't permitted to be at the Dolphins' facility or represent the team at any team event. He also can't attend any league meeting before the annual meeting in 2023. The Vice Chairman of the Dolphins, Bruce Beal, was fined $500,000 and isn't permitted to attend any league meeting for the rest of the 2022 season. The Dolphins would have had 2 first round picks but now will only have one. They also forfeited a 2024 third round pick too.

The League did not find evidence that the Dolphins intentionally lost games in 2019 under Flores although they did find evidence that the Front Office believe draft position was the priority.

Brady will not face any consequences. Brian Flores, who was fired this year, said he's disappointed that Ross and Dolphins won't face any meaningful consequences.

The issue here is that Ridley's was OTT, not that Watson's wasn't long enough. The NFL should focus on what happens on the field and that could affect it. There are people tasked with dealing with sexual assault, they're called police, prosecutors, judges and juries rather than some sort of tinpot court set up by the league.

Seahawks vs the Buccs. I'll finally be able to watch a game at 7:30 in the morning.

Eh, Bears fans aren't Chargers fans, let's be fair.

Yes. Perhaps we will all remember they exist for a bit longer this year.
