Yeah I saw that! Should've linked it. I'm hoping the DUI charge thing wasn't really him, but fortunately no one was injured in that incident or the domestic violence arrest (aside from Sherman himself) from the sounds of it.

I'm hoping to see him suit up for someone this season, so I'm hoping there was a mistake with the DUI stuff and maybe the rest can blow over? And that his leg is okay ofc, I've got a GSD, and she's a sweetheart but I've seen what those jaws can do.

The NFL.com story cited that he had been going through some personal issues this offseason - could be one reason he's unsigned - and I'm willing to bet these in laws are probably something to do with it. He's one hell of a smart dude and the NFLPA's VP, I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt here.

Yep. There was a team in the short lived UFL named the Virgina (Beach) Deatroyers, er, Destroyers. They were originally the Florida Tuskers (ugh) but relocated to Norfolk and vicinity in the short lived league, which was desperate for investors and hard up for cash. I think Snydley Dan of the WFT could purchase the name cheaply. They had a nice logo and a DC connection in Doug Williams.
