Buffalo has looked really hot in the last few weeks compared to the Titans, and it was really only decided by bad play calls in the last 3 minutes. A bit of a mess.

On another note, there is a new entry in the absurdly close losses bowl outside of Minneapolis, its name is Indianapolis.
They are an Aaron Donald sack into a double ankle sprain and a routine field goal from being 4-2. Kinda ridiculous.

CLE (but I'm keeping my eye out for Cleveland's injuries)
KC
GB
CIN
CAR
ATL (last minute change)
NE
LV
LAR
TB
ARI
SF
NO

Time to enjoy the bye week and get a small break from the insanity that the Vikings have been putting me through this year! I'm glad we've won our last two games, like I thought we would, but I'm not happy about how hard we've made it on ourselves. We're still in good shape to compete for what's looking like the 6th or 7th seed in this year's playoffs, and it looks like it'll be between us, the 49ers, and the Saints for those two spots. Maybe some other teams like the Panthers, Seahawks, and Bears will stick around in the conversation if they insist on being annoying. Our schedule is insanely hard the next 4 weeks, (Cowboys, Ravens, Chargers, Packers, who combine for a 19-5 record right now) and I think the best we can come out of it is 2-2. The one good thing about all the close finishes we've had this year is that I know we'll have our chances in these upcoming games. It's just a matter of whether we take advantage of them.

...and for the love of God, if we get a 2-score lead, please put the game away instead of letting the other team hang around. Please?

Tuesday mornings with Jerz

Postby Jerzylvania » Tue Oct 19, 2021 8:55 am

The fourteen game Week 6 schedule was a fairly easy one IMO. Here's how it played out.

None of the pick league players had the temerity to take TEN at home over BUF on Middle of the Night Football (MNF). That was a boo-boo, except for maybe Bills fans. Though, they knew King Henry is alive and well at home.

Ten of you chose the Chargers (on the road in a 1 PM ET game) at Ravens. Say what? LAC had/has given up the most yards on the ground in the league. Only seven players had BAL... huh? Boos and no booze to the rest of you.

Oxes was the only player to take losses choosing PHI and NYG. Tough sledding, but at least he was one of the 7 that took BAL.

GVH and Lum took HOU over IND with the Colts at home after a tough loss. Really? All the other players picked that one correctly. No big feat.

Kohr alone had the Lions (at home ) versus CIN. Oops! Remember, L stands for Loss = Lions = Lame.

Eleven players had ARI over CLE (at home). Good calls on a tough pick for the eleven. BTW, is anyone else tired of seeing Baker Mayfield pretending to live in First Energy Stadium for State Farm? Get Baker a room at Motel 6, please.

TNF home games are now 4-2 because Tom Brady breaks all the rules and PHI doesn't know them.

Six players thought SEA QB'd by Geno Smith would go into PIT and defeat the Steelers. Well... they shoulda, they woulda, and they coulda ...except TJ Watt had the last say in OT. Damn that guy's good!

Picks Power Rank Standings after W6:

Lum 66-27
UKP 66-28
Zurk 64-30

Four of the trailing players have between 60 - 63 wins and remain in reasonable contention. The rest of y'all need to cash in when the opportunity knocks.

Twelve weeks still remain in the regular season, so there is time. Good luck to all! :)

Feh, I underestimated just how horrible Houston is, I learned from that mistake.

I’m still #1 though!

Aight, picks for this week:

Browns over Broncos (C’mon Baker keep that bus going.)
Carolina over Holy flip is this even a guess? Even without CMC…
Pats over Jets
Titans over Chiefs (Titans look legit, the Chiefs have holes more glaring than Jackson Mahomes dancing on Sean Taylor’s number.)
Aaron Rodgers grabbing stocks in the Dan Snyders cause he owns them too.
Dolphins over Falcons (Tank Bowl in the making.)
Ravens over Bengals
Rams over SAME. OLD. LIONS.
Raiders over Iggles
Cards over Texans
Bucs over Bears
Niners over Colts
TIME TO COOK MORE W’S NEW ORLEANS.

Even though they lost, Seahawks did okay this last game. It did go into OT.

Seahawks were already looking kinda bad this year and then they lose Russel Wilson. Its gonna be their roughest year in a while me thinks.

I think Ran is gone right now or something, since I asked the same question last week and got no response. He also missed picks this week. I don't have the power to change the poll. Hopefully he'll be back.
