Also, I am not liking that the Saints will have an early Bye Week. I mean, week 6? Sooo....It's 5 games, then a week off, then 12 games in a row. Not a fan of that, NFL, not a fan.


But, the fact that the Saints have 2 Thursday night games, 1 Sunday Night game, and 2 Monday Night games is interesting. Are they thinking that we will still be a contender without Drew? That and Vegas currently has the Saints Win/Loss Over/Under at 9.5 for the 2021-22 season. I think last year they had it at 10.5 or so. I'll take the over, but we'll see how things go this season.

Ravens got a week 8 bye, same as last year. A bye week earlier than week 8 really does suck in an 18 week regular season. Meanwhile these late byes for probable good teams - Chiefs and Cards get a week 12 bye; Green Bay Packers, Cleveland Browns, Tennessee Titans get week 13 bye; Philadelphia Eagles, Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots, Indianapolis Colts in week 14. Week 14?????? WTF???

The TB Bucs get a week 9 bye. I'd bet TB is not happy with that. Look for Goodell to swap that bye with the Eagles week 14 bye to accommodate the old Goat.

You're all gonna love this story. It has nothing to do with current stuff going on in the NFL but it is football related. When I was in highschool I knew this guy named Matt who really liked football, so much so that he would watch and comment on football games at lunch. I'd have vouched for two byes, even though that stretches out the season longer. Not a fan of all these changes myself. But I'm still in the "shut up and take my money!" crew so, guess I can't talk much crap.

A bye week at season's end just before the playoffs. Only the teams going forward into post-season will get it, bc they all need it by then. Makes for better football games... so it makes sense, which is why they'll never do it.

More meant picking 2 weeks during the schedule.
Like Week 4 and 11 being byes if you're unlucky to get it THAT early in the season.
Problem is team's with mid/mid-late season byes will have a more chaotic schedule. Don't want Bye-Game-Game-Game-Bye

Other sports are considering shortening their seasons, NFL is trying to play regular season games in mid January.

I don't know if I will have enough time to properly do a Fantasy League. Work is getting busier and we're still short-staffed like hell. I mean, I'm working 52 hours a week in 6 days right now. Unless my boss hires a new Assistant Manager, I'll probably run myself into the ground. And that's on top of my boss telling me that the owner told him he was going to retire and give the business to some numbnuts business partner of his who's an idiot.

They call them the "All-Star" Breaks. Normally a 5 or 6-day break in the middle of the season, for most players and they play one single game with all of what are perceived to be the "best of the best of the best, SIR!".

Oh I know what you meant. They have ditched a preseason game. IMHO the second bye is much more necessary to those teams that are playing 18, 19, 20 or 21 games a year. Those extra games take a brutal toll on their bodies. Arguably these are the best players in the league. We should want their careers not be shortened by the wear and tear of playing more games. Hard fought games. Winning and going to the playoffs should be rewarded with a second bye week immediately after the regular season is concluded.

As to the first bye I'd have half of them in week 9 and the other half in week 10. Other sports play many more games but i do agree, the NFL is pushing the limits and this is more than enough games to crown a legit champion. They're only doing this for the extra $$$. Shame.
