There should be no ceasefire until one side secures an armistice from the other side or holds onto more territory than when hostilities began. Let's hope you are right, because Erdogan is setting up Turkey against half the world. Relations with Greece, Armenia, Egypt, Israel, France, Germany and the US have either collapsed or at the very least worsened. And for what, to appease Russia, Azerbaijan and Pakistan? Here's the thing. I dont think he's leaving office through an election. He's basically a dictator now, and if need be he'll just suspend the election to remain Pasha, I mean President. I believe that Erdogan will pull his own Reichstag fire moment and he will be president of turkey well through the 2020s.

Armenian Foreign Minister Spokesperson announced that Azerbaijan and Armenia agreed on a humanitarian ceasefire.I hope the Armenian government will learn to respect this ceasefire. In the future, the conditions for peace will only be the withdrawal of the Armenian occupation forces from the Azerbaijani territories and the Armenian government apologizing for the 30 years of persecution.

IIRC Baku mandates schools teach youths that Armenia is a fake nation, ‘Azerbaijan’ came first and that all the land is Azeri with Armenian squatters.

I was calling it lite-Naziism because Baku lacks the economic and most political policies present in Nazi ideology AFAIK, but the social aspect between races is definitely Nazi.

The buffer zone is nothing but a waste of time for the Caucasus. Turkey, Azerbaijan, Russia, Georgia, Iran and Armenia should be at the table of agreement. The Government of Armenia Should Now Quit This Armenian Expansion Policy and get along with its neighbors. Nobody is satisfied with this situation.

I view Erdogan at least as being like Turkish Hitler. You have:

•The hatred of the free press
•The appeals to "past Turkish greatness in the previous empire"
•Made up history like Turks being the first people to land on the moon or discover America
•The supremacism that demonizes and dehumanizes minorities and foreigners
•A war in Syria to take land away to establish living space for Turks there (sound familiar?)
•Threats against neighbors such as Greece to take land from them

Pan Turkism is basically part of the resurgence of fascism in general that we've seen worldwide, but an especially virulent strain of fascism that isn't a fringe ideology. If anything, believing in freedom and liberty has become the fringe ideology in Turkey these days.

I cant help but kinda feel bad for the Syrian rebels. If history for them goes like it did for the Kurds, when Turkey is done using them to kill Kurds, Assyrians and Armenians, they'll be shot in the back and thrown in a ditch and burned to make way for the Turkish new order. A future Turkish Northern Syria is probably a 100% Turkish Northern Syria. This war between the Armenians and Azeris is the latest front in the fight against Neo Ottoman tyranny.
