Concerning the war, found out that the small Azeri town of Sugovuhan which was under Armenian occupation but was not considered part of the republic of Artsakh has been re-occupied by the Azeris. This town contains a water reservoir which was closed by Armenia. This resulted in all the Azeri farms down river to be in a constant state of drought. Only way around this was to sink an expensive well. Some think part of this war has to do with water. Looking at a map, Azerbaijan has plenty of rivers unlike Armenia. Most like that town would have been returned to Azerbaijan if they had accepted the independence of Artsakh.

I do not see how anything short of an outright foreign military intervention will stop this. For which there is little appetite.

In theory I guess sanctions could work, IF you got enough people on board. But that is unlikely. People want their gas. Plus Georgia can not afford to sanction them, with Turkey will not, so there. And the EU will not seriously sanction Turkey. The situation for Armenia is bleak.

The Azeri government may be racist pieces of garbage but the Azeri civilians don't deserve to die. Innocent people are being blown to bits and the world is once again silent.
