In all seriousness, it's a fairly accurate description. I think it's the result of having two parties become hugely popular, enough to divert all the action to them so that the other parties are forgotten about. Happens here in the UK as well, but at least here the third parties have some sort of a voice, enough to make an impact on the main parties do (which it has in the past). Whereas in the US, I wonder how many know about the other options.
