https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/5 ... rump-rally

Crowd chants lock her up about Whitmer at Trump's rally in Michigan and the President says lock them all up. He is openly encouraging violence by his supporters and he did nothing to tell them that was inappropriate. I hope he and the Republicans lose in a absolute blowout.

Biden leafs 53-44 in Hillsborough county, Florida. Tampa is the county seat.

That's a 9 point margin. Clinton won it by a 7 point margin in 2016, so that's an improvement for Biden, but both Gillum and Nelson won Hillsborough by 9% in 2018 yet still lost the state. Looks like Florida will go down to the wire, as usual.

Also there needs to be more county polls. I don't see them very often, yet I think they are very useful, even more so than statewide polls.

Last I checked, Whitmer's lockdown was fairly popular. 60% or so. But now that's gone, it will come down to the Republican state management rather than whatever dumb shit Trump says at a rally.

New daily cases are going up quite steeply; it looks like they will exceed the height of the first wave. That would prang the Republicans worse than anything Trump does or says.

I'd argue many libsocs acknowledge both are authoritarians (or at least Castro), but recognize they had successful policies regarding healthcare and education.

Delightful. Someone should send him back to grade school and teach him empathy, and perhaps basic spelling alongside it.

I hope that if elected, Biden can institute a national mask policy and 2-week lockdown.

The state senate isn't up till 2022 as the terms are four years. They could lose the House though.

He is openly endorsing violence by saying nothing. I wouldn't be shocked if one his cult like followers tries something since hes giving the ok to talk like this.

A shame, really. I've been arguing that the US needs a stronger central government for some time now, and I feel this is one case where it really could help.

I really doubt that, given Trump is polling worse in Wisconsin and Michigan than he is in Pennsylvania.

If he wins both those states hes likely winning Pennsylvania.

Exactly. A government needs to have stronger emergency powers in some cases.

It wont be ages. Plus the president doesnt and shouldnt have the authority to make law. I could say the same about governors. what do you need a legislature for if the President or governor can simply make policy with the stroke of a pen?

For sure. Pennsylvania is by far the easiest for Trump to win of the three.

A pandemic should be treated as an invasion. The virus doesn't care which state or person it's gonna infect. With the federal government empowered to fight the pandemic same as fighting a war, we would handle the pandemic much better with a unified response.
