Climate Change last is interesting. But I'm quite annoyed that Immigration hasn't been on the agenda for either debate: it's barely going to get a mention in the heated category of "Racial Issues" but it should be talked about. It was the major plank of Trump's election and until this year it was debated a lot.

How does Biden bring up that skilled worker visas take jobs off college graduates in the US, while farmers are crying out for more low-skilled labor? Or the US being a meaner and less worthy world citizen by taking fewer refugees or locking up asylum seekers in bad conditions.

It's neither necessary nor desirable to mention race to get those issues on the table. One is on the subject of jobs. The other is on the subject of human rights. There really should be a separate Immigration debate.

He doesn’t, because the wrong answer will cost him a big chunk of his base. Hence why this issue is being ignored.

Honestly it’s just going to be another shouting match, so I don’t see why they’re so worried about the topics.

I'd say the same about both parties, and those that argue for the better of two evils. The Democrats are mostly neo-liberals, and not really center-left at all, yet folks keep voting for the neo-liberals that serve corporate interests rather than progressive candidates. Then the Republicans are stuck in a time-warp living on 50s family values and foreign policy objectives, with religious neo-cons wanting war with Iran to fulfill some nonsense doomsday prophesy and make Christ return quicker. Not living a swing state, I don't have to actually make a decision this election, as the Democrats will win regardless of how I vote.

Two bits of news from Kentucky today. First, a postal worker in Jeffersontown has been fired and may be charged after discarding 112 absentee ballots: https://thehill.com/homenews/state-watch/521536-kentucky-postal-worker-fired-after-dumping-100-absentee-ballots

Second, the Lexington Herald-Leader endorsed McGrath over McConnell: https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/521533-one-of-kentuckys-largest-newspapers-endorses-mcconnells-challenger

McConnell's still got a fairly comfortable lead.

I actually tuned into the McGrath McConnell debate and she exceeded my expectations, given her many gaffes and general woodenness. Mind you, I'm not saying it makes a difference, but she performed well enough in that format that I can understand why the party was seduced by her paper resume.

Come on, Lumen. You'll notice I said, "I'm not saying it makes a difference," i.e. I agreed with your point. I was just adding some texture to it. Put some effort into responding to what people say rather than repeating yourself.

Collins PAC donated hundreds of dollars to two candidates who support QAnon.

Republican candidates Kevin Bushey and Brian Redmond running for the Maine House of Representatives received $400 each from Dirigo PAC, a political action committee heavily associated with Collins, Business Insider reported.

Both candidates are running in safe Democratic districts.
