I have noticed a lack of LGBT related content anywhere here. It would make this site feel a lot friendlier, supportive, and less scary if there was a place to support others and get support from others, or just talk about your opinions on LGBT issues. Post LGBT related news, vent your issues, or build each other up. All are welcome, even if you aren't a part of the LGBT community. But please don't come here to flame or troll or yell slurs, it achieves nothing and will get you in trouble with the mods. If you genuinely don't like the community, please tell us in a somewhat civilized manner.

{If you want to know more about me, I am homosexual/homoromantic, and cisgender he/him. I am super pro-lgbt rights (pretty obvious lol) and support all in the community}

Not a mod, but I'm thinking it should be fine so long as you flesh the OP out a bit; give something to discuss for instance.

That's great! I have stumbled across many people here who while not explicitly saying being LGBT is bad, they imply being gay is weird and so on. As for something to discuss, maybe for those who are LGBT and have come out, how did you do it?

If one more person tells me "oh, you'll find someone someday" or "oh you'll grow out of it eventually" I'm going to FUCKING strangle somebody.

Also, OP, I'd recommend splitting asexual and aromantic. A lot of asexual people I know are still romantically active and a few aromantic people I know are still sexually active.

This subforum is for discussion and debate. Sure, we often fall well short of that and just scream at each other. But I don't think you can have a thread where only positivity about a group or ideology is permitted.

You're ace or aro right? I know a few people who are, and it's got to be annoying to be constantly bombarded with people saying that all the time. Also, I get hating people for dating people of their own gender, but how can someone even hate someone who doesn't date anyone? It's dumb.

I'm sorry if my OP was vague, I didn't mean to say only positivity is allowed, I just meant to not yell slurs at people (which is against the NS rules)

Also, they don't hate me for being ace/aro. They just don't understand that no, it's not a phase because of puberty, no, I won't "want someone eventually," and no, I don't want to have children.

For the coming out: I had an identity crisis in TET, everyone who saw it saw it. Everyone who actually knows me personally still is completely unaware and it should stay that way.
