I also noticed this, and the news stories said they were only 4 minutes old when I saw that it had already been updated. You guy have response that was shockingly fast. :clap:

All eyes turn on to the Senate now. McConnell definitely has a list of picks ready I imagine. Senators Murkowski and Grassley said they opposed filling a vacancy a while back, and while Murkowski has said that she intends to keep good on it, it remains to be seen if Grassley will keep his promise.

Current Senate composition is 53 - 47. If Mark Kelly wins in November, he will potentially be sworn in early to complete the rest of McCain's term, bringing the number to 52 - 48. If Murkowski defects, that's 51 - 49.

The spotlight is going to be placed on Romney, Murkwoski, Collins, and Grassely now. Depending on how they vote, it could potentially affect how the November election goes.

I cried on the inside. RIP Ruth Bader Ginsburg. I know Trump and Mitch won't respect the "can't nominate before an election" ruling, so I hope that whoever is selected is not a horrid Fox News replacement.

She was an enemy of the constitution and she's gonna be replaced with someone who respects the constitution and bill of rights. Someone who respects the original intent and what it actually says, and doesn't add made up ones in between.

Old McC will not pass on the chance. He wanted to swing the legal system to a much more conservative bent. To own the court is something he can’t pass on.

If the GOP does wind up trying to push through a nominee, I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up backfiring on some end in November; voters in the battleground states in 2018 certainly didn't like Kavanaugh. Plus with how hyped up Democrats are, some courtroom fuckery could burst the dam.

Goodness, whether or not you agree with her rulings, her body's not even in the ground yet. At the very least give her a prayer for her peace.

It's actually Jewish New Year for the most part, but that's one aspect of it.
