I like the first one, not the second one though.

I'm gonna politely say no on that one.

Rushing has argued that there are "moral and practical" reasons to ban same-sex marriage. During Rushing's confirmation proceedings, she was questioned about her ties to the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), a conservative Christian group that she had interned for as a law student. ADF has been criticized for opposing LGBT rights. Rushing was asked if she would recuse herself from ADF-related cases if confirmed. She replied: "I would determine the appropriate action with the input of the parties, consultation of these rules and ethical canons, and consultation with my colleagues."

I don't really care, to be honest. Probably for the best so that a better Supreme Court Justice can get in charge. Either that, or RBG's gonna be voting by mail from beyond the grave.

Nail on the head, Romney will definitely vote for it, barring a Kavanaugh-esque scenario, I don't know why people are pretending that anybody but Murkowski and Collins are voting No (on the GOP side).

Here's my take though, I don't see any confirmation happening before election day.
There's no way that Graham, Collins, McSally, and Tillis could take time away from the campaign trail to go have a series of contentious hearings when they are less than fifty days out from an election they're fighting for their political life in.

Murkowski and Collins will vote Present not no which makes it easier for the GOP.

Very good point, I suspect there is a chance they still might have to. Much of the GOP is going to fight tooth and nail between now and January.

Oh, I have no doubt, but I don't think we'll see anything happen before the General.
It'll have to happen in the lame duck session because McConnell will be faced with losing the majority if he brings everyone back right now.
