Taser darts are designed to go through clothing, so unless someone is wearing a flak jacket or several winter jackets then it'll work on them. Tasers aren't used exclusively on naked people you know, they'd be pretty useless if they were.

There's this thing called proportionate force. While i don't find what happened in Columbus to be a George Floyd style outrage, there was an alternative to shooting the girl. Several actually. Tasers and pepper spray come to mind.

Yup if there was an opinions key on the keyboard then it being broken or stuck down would explain GMS's comment, but alas there is not...

A woman identified as Tay Jones wrote on Facebook that she had witnessed the shooting and posted video purportedly from the scene. The teen was transported to a nearby hospital, Mount Carmel East, where she succumbed to the injuries sustained in the shooting, local station NBC 4 reported. The department has reportedly contacted the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation to review the use of deadly force. The police department’s public information office did not respond to a request for comment. The 911 call that brought police to the scene had reportedly cited an attempted stabbing.

She was threatening others with a knife. This was justified.

I mean I guess. I still think she didn't need to be shot with live ammo but it isnt like the cops showed up and said "let's commit a murder." It was self defense. It's just too bad she died.

Wow, we actually agree on something in regards to a police incident. I’m pleasantly surprised
Yes, it does make a difference when a person that was shot was attacking or attempting to attack somebody with a deadly weapon. The girl obviously had serious mental health issues. It was tragic she had died and I think a full investigation is warranted. BUT, this is no George Floyd. Breonna Taylor or Daunte Wright. Even though Ma’Khia Bryant was young and had serious mental health issues, she had a deadly weapon in her hand and was attacking or attempting to attack someone.

How exactly is pepper spray supposed to work when her back is facing him at the time of the shooting?

Why do you trust the police report more than multiple eyewitness accounts, after everything we've been through for the past however many years now? Of course they're going to say she threatened them and not say that they shot her without telling her to put the knife down, they're trying to cover their ass because they know shooting 15-year-olds doesn't go over well even if you do have a good reason to do so.
And by the way, the sentence for "threatening others with a knife," if that is indeed what she was doing, is not "summary execution."
Abolitionism in the North has leagued itself with Radical Democracy, and so the Slave Power was forced to ally itself with the Money Power; that is the great fact of the age.

Note: the bodycam footage would suggest that the aunt was lying, and that Bryant was in the process of attacking someone else (context of the attack is, to my awareness, still unclear)

spoken like someone who's never been pepper sprayed tbh, I seriously doubt a 15-year-old girl would require massive direct application to the face for it to take effect
You would think a public servant who's supposedly dedicated their career to putting their life on the line to protect their community would be willing to accept a slightly higher risk of getting stabbed and use a taser instead of mowing down a 15-year-old girl but ok
