I think I cant post to this guy, I think I am not allowed to do so, but I want to comment on his views - George Floyd was murdered on May 25, 2020. Protests started May 26. The Third Precinct burned May 28. Chauvin and his three accomplices were charged and arrested May 29.

I think he just proved our point and many of our points we agree on, of course there are times no one agrees with anyone a 100 %.

Again, there was no connection between Huber and Rosenbaum. Huber was a bystander reacting to information that Rittenhouse had shot someone. At the time, the situation with Rosenbaum was over, and any self-defence situation Rittenhouse was in does not carry over to other people. The question of whether Rittenhouse acted in self-defence against Huber has to viewed independently in that perspective, and has to take into consideration a whole host of other factors than in the Rosenbaum-situation. There's also a question of whether Rittenhouse's shooting of Huber was a proportional response.

Rittenhouse might very well be aquitted for all charges concerning Rosenbaum, but convicted for killing Huber. We'll have to wait and see what happens there.

Regardless, the shoes of self-defence is different than the affirmative legal defence of self-defence. I'll stick with that.

By the time that would happen, you'd either be dead or psychologically scarred. I'd rather go to court and give testimony of the attack and be done with it than have my dignity taken away and waste my money on a hot shot laywer

The cops have been arrested and are being tried in a US Court of Law. Don't throw rocks, don't throw projectiles at cops and problems solved, don't loot stores, don't burn down The Third Precinct, protest peacefully and problems solved.

Because it's actual property damage by state agents to create a chilling effect on protesters. It is not good.

It's fine. These protests are known to end in civil unrest and looting, so I don't blame the cops.

It's not so different from snapping pictures of the violators from a helicopter, or spraying them with dyed water from a water cannon.

And seeing as I was specifically talking about the George Floyd protests, what does an article about people killed in all protests and riots have to do with what I said? Also, note that a number of them were killed at far-right protests, not BLM or otherwise "anti-police" (in quotes due to broadness) protests, so they're not exactly relevant to a thread about anti-police protests and riots, now are they?

BTW, I prefer to have a forum where people can discuss respectfully without insulting each other than one where people who dare to report others get attacked. That attitude is part of what killed the Right Wing Discussion Thread, btw, a refusal to report rules violations.
