It's perfectly obvious that whether a conjoined twin counts as one person or two depends on how many brains it has.

Anyone who pretends to consider any other definition is being ridiculous.

Well it becomes a foetus eight weeks after conception, and ceases to be a foetus when it's born, of that's what you're asking.

No, I’m asking where the foetus physically begins and ends like in the womb

It isn’t relevant for those of us who see the foetus as part of the pregnant persons body but it is relevant for people who see the foetus as an independent organism

Yes. Both physiologically and genetically.

The placenta is a combination of tissues from both fetus and mother.

Imagine the foetus like muscles on the arm of someone taking muscle building drugs (like testosterone). The muscles are not growing or developing by them selves their for they are part of the person taking the drugs

Then we agree that a foetus is not a parasite, a foetus is part of the pregnant persons body

The body does actually treat fetuses like parasites, and can easily spend 9 months attacking it.

This is especially common for fetuses that have a different blood type than the mother, and it the most likely situation to cause miscarriage. (Dr.'s usually have to prescribe immune system suppressants in these cases)

That can happen But only very rarely and this is caused y an autoimmune disorder which means that the body is attacking itself therefore the foetus is part of the mothers body and not a parasites

okay, cool. you do you. that opinion makes no sense, though. practically every philosopher agrees that awareness is a crucial part of being a person. if a human dies, it doesn’t have rights. sure, legally speaking you can’t perform certain actions on it, but that is based only on cultural values and has no relation to the “rights” of the corpse. the corpse itself doesn’t have rights, just like a building doesn’t have the “right” not to be destroyed. you cannot apply rights to something with no capacity for awareness because there is nothing to hold those rights.

It can happen but this is because of an auto immune disorder and is certainly not the main caused of miscarriages
