That was Britain, not England.
Yeah, but intentions could change without English people in Britain.

Exactly. It sounds as if the OP's scenario is more closer to if the English part of the 1700's UK just vanished overnight; so either the UK would carry on with its capital as Edinbourgh or Cardiff or the constituent nations will just go their seperate ways and France would be the dominant power.

In 1603 James VI decides that being a king of two countries is hard so he begins a campaign of ethnic cleansing against the English. With the English now destroyed he turns over the now empty lands over to become the greatest game park in Europe.

And then later, a giant carpark.

Again, it was the British (not English) that had an Empire, see Acts of Union 1707.

But that is not a definite thing that these places would become their own nations. Empires and kingdoms will alter without one people or another in our history.
In fact, at the time, the Maratha Empire and the Mughal Empire were trying to fight for dominance of the subcontinent, which the European powers of Britain and France took advantage of.

If no English tribe existed, then Celto-Roman Britannia would have lasted until some other Germanic tribe invaded it. Danes, Saxons, take your pick.
Anyway Britannia would have ended up being ruled by the Germans at some point, as it did (how about Hannover, Saxe-Coburg-Gotha and Battenberg?)

The world would unironically have been a better place ngl. The French were always the better Empire and should've been the ones calling the shots, IMO.

But it wouldn't be the French. It'll be the Burgundians under a fascist leadership without the existence of England.

I think if the rest of Canada voted on a Quebecois referendum of independence, I'd imagine that even if all Quebecois rejected the measure, many Canadians would vote to expel Quebec, like how Singapore got expelled from Malaysia.
