I didnt have internet access at home till age 13. When I was a kid, we lived in an apartment and then in a run down house with cracks in the walls, cold drafts and leaks, so we weren't up to date on tech.

My mom still hasn't gotten past 1999. She thinks I email my friends and don't just text them, and she once volunteered to "spring for tickets" to the dance for me and my now ex girlfriend. Not the Asian one, the Arab one. That's a tangent but I have enough ex's to write my own Taylor swift song. But anyways, my mom is very behind the times even now.

Someone needs to just drive straight through their dumb ass roadblock. Fuck them, there's a fire, and if they're too stupid to get out of the way before their roadblock construction gets turned to destruction then I guess nothing of value was lost. They better jump and duck. If it was me I would floor it, cause I'm not about to burn to ash.

If we want to lessen the impact of these wildfires in the future, then we need to practice better forest management, we need controlled burns, we need a healthy forest ecosystem with a diverse set of foliage, we need barriers that break-up the range of the fires, we need to slow climate change for a number of reasons. We should also invest in technologies and infrastructure to better preserve air quality for human residents when a wildfire does breakout.
