To answer the OP, I see it as more fitting to have the villain answer for his crimes before a court.

I would not have thought of this, but that would be the best bet. An international court is too soft. The international courts are not the Nuremburg show trials. The United Nations does not hang anymore.

I wouldn't need to go through with firebombing the place; he dies then and there, by my hand. After unloading my guns on him and proceeding to mutilate its corpse (and hopefully take a bone, if not a skull, as a prize), I would leave with the body rotting to the vultures.

When I am asked why he died, I will tell them the truth: he refused to surrender. You said that when he confronted me, he showed no remorse and proclaimed he would do it again. He didn't ask for mercy or lift his hands up. He may well have been armed, I'd say.

I'd be tempted, but it would be kind of selfish to take vengeance on him for myself. There are so many other people that were wronged. As with the holocaust, every detail possible should be recorded for the world to see, in hopes that they can prevent this sort of thing from happening again. Reminds me of the story about Jeff Davis being captured while dressed in women's clothing, trying to slink away in disguise. (Davis was the president of the Confederate States of America, and the story is probably propaganda.)
