Right, the US passed a law that didn't actually do anything, just threatens to take action. The US isn't going to actually go to war over the ICC, and the ICC isn't going to force a situation where the US would have to admit that. And the US isn't going to do mad shit like pull out of NATO or sanction all of Europe until they dissolve the ICC or anything else like that. The ICC is powerless to deal with war criminals from powerful nations. They can get their hands on African warlords and war criminals from the Balkans but they'll never be able to prosecute an American.

The only way American war criminals will be held accountable is if there is a successful revolution and the people capture them and make them stand trial. Then we could prosecute war criminals, the torturers, the people who have maimed and killed with white phosphorus in Iraq, the American corporations and politicians who have helped Saudi Arabia carry out genocide in Yemen, and we could prosecute the human traffickers of ICE for putting children in cages.
