I’m passing on having that stuff in my head, thank you very much. There is the big concern that the devices could cause new issues or even be manipulated to cause the issues it solves. While I could potentially be open to the idea in the future, I don’t have any thoughts about changing my stance on this matter soon.

If this could treat a bunch of medical conditions, then great. But it shouldn’t go beyond that.

I am also concerned about other potential issues it could have. What about hackers? What if it malfunctions?

Even if the production didn't have that, scientists are also huge nerds who would definitely design something to look like a thing they saw on Star Trek. Science fiction inspires actual science, sometimes.

I mean considering how Google maps already knows the speed limit of practically every road in the contiguous united states (at least), I find it hard to believe a self-driving car would permit itself to break the law at the behest of a user.

They really don’t. I drive for a living and 90% of the time google maps has either no data on the speed limits or gets them very wrong

Hopefully augments would have an offline option to make hacker's hacking more difficult.

If it malfunctions then you'd have to get it fixed like any other implant or you'd just straight up die, such as when a pacemaker goes wrong.

Conspiracy theory stemming from a extreme part of a faith based off a really old book from the time when the world was poorly understood, I might add.
Yugoslavia's back baby...

How the hell did this happen?
Well...we don't actually know. Just sort of happened one day.
Is it a reunited Yugoslavia in the 21st century? Is a rebel colony world in the far future? Is it a race of cyborg neo-life at war with any assimilating organisms they come across in the far far future? Who knows, who cares?
New Yugoslavia just is.
