I believe the use of a shotgun taser was implicated in the death of a man in England. He had a gun to his own head, an officer used their shotgun taser, and he shot himself.

THIS is what's meant by "defunding the police." Nah. In this case he was getting shot if he had a weapon. The dibble tried to take him alive using a taser round but it didn't work. They did talk for about 7 hours before that happened though.

I totally support the use of Tranqs. No one gets hurt hopefully and they aren't deadly.

Effective use of tranqs would require not only determining the kind of drug that would quickly knock someone out without ODing and killing them but it would also require estimating the weight of who they're gonna hit with them since tranquilizers don't affect everyone the same, so combined that would be using tranq darts nigh on impossible.
