Early on, it seemed like BLM was kind of reaching for ways to paint honest mistakes as racist, but lately there has been a string of cases where the cops were just way out of line. 8 minutes is plenty of time to come up with a better plan besides kneeling on a guy's neck while he complains that he can't breathe. You don't need to shoot a guy 7 times to stop him from getting in his car.

I would say it was excessive if he had not the INSANE history that this man had. The police wouldn't feel the need if it was just a normal guy trying to get to his car, but this wasn't a "normal" guy this was a violent rapist with a known history.

Police are also held to higher standards than civilians. If a civilian can be held to a higher standard of discipline than a cop, then that should tell you something.

A violent felon on warrant is enough alone to draw weapons, what happens after that can be subjective and is based on the subjects behavior and officers call.

There is a DIFFERENCE if you are actively resisting arrest you could get shot especially, if the police already have you at gunpoint.
