A vaccine is no way a cure all. There are things we cannot vaccinate for, people who cannot get vaccinated(either for medical reasons or the vaccine not being available) and the simple fact a vaccine, while very effective most of the time, can fail on occasion.

They have become so domesticated that they can't hunt for food (well, maybe some cats but it's rare). They need a high meat based diet.

I know grasshoppers don't look that appetizing, not much meat on the so to speak, but they grow very quickly, eat easily available green leafy vegetation, and need far less water than big farm animals.

And we haven't even started improving them by breeding or genetic engineering! Look forward to a big juicy green grasshopper steak, totally natural* and guilt-free!
