In the face of a crisis, "loving" your country so much that you refuse to let the public know that there is a deadly threat that they all need to help prevent from spreading is one of the worst things you can do. Here's my lukewarm take, tho: we may never succeed in making GMS acknowledge that Trump has ever done something wrong. However, because of the unique nature of his posting (more specifically the substance of it) he's very useful as a counterpoint to expose and criticize the foundations of Trumpism. The fact that GMS' posts when discussing Trump almost never rise above extremely bland, paper-thin platitudes and borderline religious levels of flattery for the dear leader is kind of an accidentally perfect condensation of the actual ideology at work beneath all of the actual arguments other Trumpists make within and without this forum. Assuming that there are any undecided people reading these posts, it might be a good thing for our purposes that the #1 Trump cheerleader in this thread and others is the one that does not hide his fanaticism under layers of elaborate rationalizations carefully cultivated by the more pretentious Trumpist media figures.
