I think Trump is a vehement racist, but the Cohen quotes sound so...not Trump that I doubt them? Racists like Donald don't often just outright say "oh black people run shitholes," they just think it and insinuate it quite rigidly, but they never outright say it, if that makes sense. They just use coded language.

Cohen's definitely doesn't come out as a good guy. He was just in it for the book deals and doesn't genuinely care even after he got caught with abetting crimes.

I doubt Trump is an actual racist, not only because his first wife (who isn’t very fond of him now) completely rejected the notion, but he’s an opportunist who will do whatever to stay in the news. Not even be popular, he is smart enough to know racism is unpopular among both liberals and the majority of conservatives, he just wants that sensational headline and the attention it brings, I believe a psychologist even analyzed this demeanor. Keep in mind he was a Democrat and a supporter of liberal policy for a fairly long time.

It's not totally implausible, actually. While Donald's go to in most situations is just to blithely assert his delusions, in the handful of circumstances in his life when he's faced effective pushback and, crucially, couldn't punch back in the moment, he just sort of frozenly wilts. The question becomes whether or not he understands an electoral defeat that way -- as a total lack of options. I suspect not, and of course, Pence wouldn't want to touch that with a ten foot pole. The more likely scenario is Trump trying to go the self pardon route. "Some people said, well no, I was actually a very perfect president and I did nothing wrong," ad nauseum for ten minutes.

Trump supporters have been demonized as all being racists, but in reality, barely anyone is racist. I have been to many Trump rallies, no one cared that I was Chinese, in fact, people praised me for resisting the CCP, and wished me luck on "liberating my ancestral land."

When I pass through rural America while going places, people are very friendly and are more curious than anything, when I tell them I’m a Trump supporter, they go as far as inviting me over for dinner. The only experience with racism I have had in the US has been in urban Philadelphia, where two black men called me a "Fucking chinky pig," while I was crossing the street and their car had to stop.
