EDIT: We’ve moved on to the Atlantic article portion of the Trump Roast.
Oh no, wait, now we’re on Obama bailing out the auto industry which i guess he was kind of in charge of in Michigan I guess...
EDIT 2: Okay, so the gist of proposal is that he’ll give incentives to companies that reshore jobs, retool plants etc. The goal is 1 million auto jobs. Part of that is that he’s going to convert the government’s fleet of cars to electric to help jump start the infrastructure for that and making it more affordable to everyone else in the process.
Suck it, hydrogen, I guess. Though that has had the same problem for like three decades, so...
Also, really wants that one off electric Corvette that went 220mph.

Was a good speech, tbh.

That official was told to instead report more on Chinese and Iranian Interference, which is reportedly trying to help Biden more so. That order came directly from National Security Adviser Robert O’Brien. They also wanted to alter intelligence reports on White Supremacists and ANTIFA to match Trump's rhetoric on the issue, among other things.
If that's true, then it clearly shows Trump's re-election efforts go far deeper than previously suspected. That is some dangerous stuff right there.

Abolitionism in the North has leagued itself with Radical Democracy, and so the Slave Power was forced to ally itself with the Money Power; that is the great fact of the age.

There's a lot to unpack in this book.
In a later conversation reported by Woodward, Mattis told Coats, "The president has no moral compass." Coats reportedly responded, “True. To him, a lie is not a lie. It’s just what he thinks. He doesn’t know the difference between the truth and a lie."

That seems about right.

OTOH too many MAGA folks haven't displayed enough critical thinking skills to wear a mask and social distance themselves. Sadly they aren't going to learn the lesson about the effect of Trump's lack of veracity either. But as it is, the remaining undecided in this election aren't actually MAGA folks. Woodward's book is gonna leave a mark.

While I think this is not outside the realm of possibility, Michael Cohen is a convicted liar and I'm not inclined to believe what he says because it confirms my own beliefs. Nor am I inclined to pay for the fucker's legal bills.

All very good points, but remember, this is Trump we’re talking about. Is there anything wrong that he won’t say or do?

I think Trump is a vehement racist, but the Cohen quotes sound so...not Trump that I doubt them? Racists like Donald don't often just outright say "oh black people run shitholes," they just think it and insinuate it quite rigidly, but they never outright say it, if that makes sense. They just use coded language.
But, hey, I could be wrong, maybe Trump did say these things. I don't know what's true anymore, I just know I want him out.

There was the "shithole countries" remark, in a Cabinet meeting, I believe. And there are the stories, possibly apocryphal, about Trump never wanting to see Black employees on the floor in his casinos when he strolled through, and the one about him not wanting Black people counting his money (counting money is for guys wearing yarmulkes), and the 1973 civil rights suit (Donald was the company president at the time). So yeah, I think Trump's racism is pretty apparent.
