If you want to buy a gun to defend your family and home, I have no problem with that.

Bringing one into a volatile situation like that violates (in my view) one of the core tenets of gun ownership, which is to be level-headed and responsible. Much better to call the police and let them handle it. They have guns, but more importantly they have their uniform and their legal authority.

As a republican, you should support a republican senator, the best candidate for the House, and Biden.
A republican senate will keep the president in check, preventing Biden/Harris/Pelosi/Schumer.
The Trump loving senators should then be kicked out six years later, hopefully under a good republican president.
And Trump... well, you shouldn't vote for someone who has only their own interests in mind. Good presidents serve the nation, and Trump can't do that. Police thought he did a good job and didn't bother to actually go after him until >12 hours later when he made national news. If no one reported on it I'm sure they would've let him get away with it.

So yeah, as long as certain people are doing the menacing certain parts of the government won't give a shit.
