Easily the best quip you've had on this thread.

Legitimately, good one. I had a great laugh at that.

Face it a second American civil war isn’t going to be red Vs blue but everyone and their mothers dog against everyone else. Think Syrian civil war turned to 11. Canada would immediately collapse under the weight of American refugees and the fighting.

This sounds like great backdrop for an action movie, not so much a possible reality

It’s going to happen. Not immediately but within the next 10 to 15 years it definitely will.

Look I get it you don’t want to imagine a world without the US but sticking your head in the sand isn’t going to do much good when the writing is on the wall.

And I’m not in the minority when it comes to this either. Some 50% of Americans believe that a civil war is inevitable in the next 10 years.

This country is doomed unless massive changes occur, and those changes most likely won’t happen

I don't think you know what an anecdote is. It's a story about a real person, a personal story, it doesn't necessarily reflect larger data sets or trends.

Obviously things are pretty messed up right now, but it would be better if we could fix things in a lawful and peaceful manner. A civil war is a very brutal and unpleasant sort of thing. I would rather have peace and rule of law.

I'm going to need a fucking source on that, because that smells like some actual bullshit, Therm.

In fact, despite the bullshit the pundits keep spouting, most Americans agree on most political issues in this country.

No, that’s the opening shots of someone with shitty aim fucking up a softball game and then being used to excuse any case of right wing violence for a year and a half.
"...I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in the stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Council-er or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I can't agree with your methods of direct action;" who paternalistically feels he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by the myth of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait until a "more convenient season." -MLK Jr.

I mean, peace is all well and good, but ultimately conflict is coming closer to being inevitable so you'd better think of something fast.
