Basically conservative media is underestimating Biden and lowering his expectations bar into the damn dirt. They are repeating the same mistakes that the Democrats made in 2016 about underestimating Trump

I have this weird and unsupported hypothesis that polling and aggregator methodology overcorrected in 2016 and are now underestimating Biden this go around.

It is on this shaky ground that I predict a blue Texas will be the major upset talking point for several weeks after the election.

That is a very weird and unsupported hypothesis.

Blue Texas is coming in 2024, you're just too far ahead right now.

I think I disagree, however, you might be proven right if one circumstance holds true;

Many pollsters use the methodology of calling predominantly likely voters, voters who have voted before or are most likely to vote per their methodology. There are scores of apps and databases that can pinpoint who is a likely voter. In 2016, many non-voters and first-time voters went for Trump, especially in the Midwest - this was a major factor in the incorrect polling for Trump (in addition to poor methodology in which regions pollsters predominantly polled).

However, if this is a high turnout election, where we see record youth turnout and record numbers of first-time voters, you will be proven right. Because those same pollsters might not be talking to scores of college kids, 20 somethings and millennials who have always sat elections out until this particular one where they feel highly motivated to vote. That would result in Biden over performing.

Unfortunately, I don't think that is the case. In part because of how difficult it is for college kids and young people to vote in this election (many college kids I call, for instance, say they're registered but are in fact, registered totally incorrectly and have never been told otherwise). In addition, we still have a lack of real progressive enthusiasm for Biden, and I suspect we'll still see fervent Bernie supporters staying home, not by huge margins, but enough to foil a potential Biden landslide. But if my assumptions are wrong and yours is correct on account of the aforementioned polling methodology, then I owe you a major Kudos on Election Day.

As a fervent Bernie supporter with progressive views and an unenthusiastic support for Biden, I will definitely not be staying home. I've stayed at home for the entire pandemic not leaving except to go to work - but I'll risk everything to get my chance to vote even if I have to go in person, stand in line for hours, wear a mask and gloves, etc.

Biden 2020

Believe me, you're like many Bernie supporters, I was pretty firmly for Bernie in the primaries, and am working my ass off to get Biden to win my state. The issue is that there are still a number of Bernie supporters who sat on the sidelines in 2016 and may do so again (though I'm convinced not in the same numbers as in 2016).

These numbers bode well, but 13% either voting Trump or voting other/not voting is still an issue.

Again, he'll never let that happen. He'll rush off to daddy Putin the first chance he gets and Ol' Vlad will squeeze him for every secret he's worth - the ones he hasn't exposed, that is.

No chance. The GOP will dump him the minute charges are filed. They won't go down with him. Once that happens, he's on his own. He can't bribe the whole country to look the other way.

I also think they won't stand for baseless claims of election fraud. I refer again to Kentucky last year. Outgoing Governor Bevin claimed there was massive fraud in Louisville and Lexington. After he got his recanvass fellow Republicans in the legislature began to doubt him after a few days McConnell stepped in and it polite terms told him to give solid evidence of his claims or step aside.

The US pres. just assigned FEMA $13 billion for Puerto Rico to be used for rebuilding the electric company and for schools. :clap: Also, because of the fallout with China they are giving tax breaks it seems to companies to return to PR. :clap: One such company which makes tests for the virus 19 is moving from Italy to PR. Everyone on the island is happy. That means PR. citizens in the US, especially the large number already living in Florida, are happy. Which means they might more likely vote for the incumbent Pres. Yes, it does seem money talks.
