We would have to restructure a lot of our democracy at this point. I mean, I'm down, but you can't just remove a two-century two-party system on a dime.

Actually, no, just open up the system to more than 2 parties. That will solve the problem on it's own.

RCV would go a long way, at least in the context of preserving the republic, tbh, and a few states have it on the ballot.

Chaging the voting system wouldn't immediately change the funding duopoly and recognition that both major parties have. You'd still have predominately Dem/Rep legislatures with the occasional Libertarian as an anomaly.
You'd need to change the voting system and then bust the major parties as trusts, which could be fun.

It's what happens when people who are not accustomed to firearms buy them impulsively.

I used to be horribly anti-gun, like full on "ban all firearms" a handful of years ago.
Now I'm seriously looking into classes, practicing at a gun range, and buying my own firearms. Radicalizing ever leftward has change my opinions on a lot of things I used to believe as a Democrat.
Might join my local Pink Pistols chapter.

I was always pro-gun, but I stopped believing in any form of gun control after George Floyd.
