Scrap them both, tbh.

Actually, no, just open up the system to more than 2 parties. That will solve the problem on it's own.

We would have to restructure a lot of our democracy at this point. I mean, I'm down, but you can't just remove a two-century two-party system on a dime.

100%!

A democrat party with populist, pro gun, pro green, and pro nuclear policies would be a major player and would lead the US and the world into a new golden age

Besides, the people in power wouldn't allow the changes because they only care about themselves. The rest of us could die as long as they stay rich and happy.

I unironically agree. If they had a policy like that I would be a 100% Democratic voter for life.

It's what happens when people who are not accustomed to firearms buy them impulsively.

Chaging the voting system wouldn't immediately change the funding duopoly and recognition that both major parties have. You'd still have predominately Dem/Rep legislatures with the occasional Libertarian as an anomaly.

You'd need to change the voting system and then bust the major parties as trusts, which could be fun.

I used to be horribly anti-gun, like full on "ban all firearms" a handful of years ago.

Now I'm seriously looking into classes, practicing at a gun range, and buying my own firearms. Radicalizing ever leftward has change my opinions on a lot of things I used to believe as a Democrat.

Might join my local Pink Pistols chapter.

Could be, I won't argue about busting up the big two is a bad idea, saving the republic or going full anarchy it'll be necessary.

My father who is normally extremely conservative is for voting reform. Particularly my plan where you’d have STV for the senate and MMP for the house.

It works well in states like Montana, in other words, having a solid platform like that allows for victories in otherwise red states.

But the Dems nationally won't learn, unfortunately.

ONE OF US
Venicilian: wow. Jesus hung around with everyone. boys, girls, rich, poor(mostly), sick, healthy, etc. in fact, i bet he even went up to gay people and tried to heal them so they would be straight.
The Parkus Empire: Being serious on NSG is like wearing a suit to a nude beach.
New Kereptica: Since power is changed energy over time, an increase in power would mean, in this case, an increase in energy. As energy is equivalent to mass and the density of the government is static, the volume of the government must increase.

Ferguson and the Charleston church shooting in 2015 were both the turning point for me, what started the radicalization that has only snowballed since then.

The Orlando shooting in 2016 particularly hit home
