Eh, I've had three happy hours with the guy. I feel like I can talk to him on a last-name basis at this point.

I can travel and be openly gay in the UK and Ireland so I don’t know what your point is.
You can't travel in the UK and Ireland, there's a pandemic.

You clearly didn't read the article. You should read stuff, it makes you sound less dumb when you say dumb things having not read the article.
The boats being abandoned are either having their engines removed or their fuel drained. That's not a boat, that's a crap life raft.

Damn leftists, out here saying "Repubblica Fascista Sociale Italiana" is a fascist. It's not like they said they support fascism right in their sig-- oh wait.

Your statement to me was still out of line. I disagree with fascists such as that poster more than I agree with them.

Turkey has taken in more refugees by Greece and it was a mistake, put aside your hypocritical thoughts and talk about how we can get people to their country.Sao Nova Europa wrote:People keep repeating the 'dumping people on the sea' lie, even though the (less than credible) article itself doesn't state that. Escorting boats back to Turkish territorial waters isn't the same as throwing people on sea.
Also, people keep ignoring that one of the migrants interviewed stated that they had tried to travel to Greece four times, and were returned back to Turkish territorial waters where they were taken back to Turkey. If they were on sea and drowning, they wouldn't have tried it three more times.

The UK literally has a state religion while Ireland doesn't have a state religion but 78.3% of the population is Catholic.

“It was very inhumane,” said Najma al-Khatib, a 50-year-old Syrian teacher, who says masked Greek officials took her and 22 others, including two babies, under cover of darkness from a detention center on the island of Rhodes on July 26 and abandoned them in a rudderless, motorless life raft before they were rescued by the Turkish Coast Guard.
Migrants landing on the Greek islands from Turkey have frequently been forced onto sometimes leaky, inflatable life rafts, dropped at the boundary between Turkish and Greek waters, and left to drift until being spotted and rescued by the Turkish Coast Guard.

Personal liability, criminal prosecution, conviction for rights violations, things of that nature.
Why are you so fixated on international law while pretending domestic law doesn't exist?
These “domestic laws” and legislation aren’t even being writen by actual Greeks
