People with nothing to lose are less pacified than those who live in comfort, but do not necessarily defy the system in a productive way. Ideally they would organize, unionize, practice mutual aid, strike, and even take to the streets to rise up, but many instead choose to do things like sell drugs or their bodies or get high or they steal (and often not from those who should be stolen from) or commit suicide.

I believe that class warfare is inevitable and that the ruling class should be overthrown, but I don't think all capitalists have to be enemies. I think many small business owners can be convinced to pursue their livelihood with former employees as equal partners and to be participants in mutual aid instead of profit seekers.

I think I did not clearly articulate my beliefs in the original post. I never wanted to make things worse. I was a passive accelerationist, not believing we should inflict suffering on people for the sake of revolution but rather that reforming capitalism would only prolong overall suffering.
