Toppling Lukashenko would be for the greater good. Hes a monster.

At any cost you say? What happens when the replacement goes right along with everything Russia wants?

Yes, but only if the army joins in.

Belarus has a universal conscription based army, which are often pretty unreliable for putting down uprisings, given the average random conscript is often reluctant to shoot their own people.
If a large portion of the population wants him gone, a large portion of people in the army probably do as well.

He’s not leaving. Russia will make sure of that. If they have to have T-90s rolling into Minsk to keep him in power, then that’s what will happen

Suddenly "Tankie" is a relevant term again

Not to mention it’s a country that Russia considers vital to her national defense. If they have to Russia will step in

Yes, but how large is the question. It needs to be an overwhelming majority, like in 1991.

Right but you’ll still get T-90s in the streets. Russia doesn’t want Belarus to be a democracy. That could lead it out of Russia’s orbit. They’ll roll tanks in and do a Dictator switch-a-roo

True, no arguments there. He is a dick, but should instability happen (might, might not) little green men will almost certainly show up.

What you'd be advocating for is a Belarusian version of suicidal terrorists willing to die for their country/cause, and be killed by Russian mercs and Belarusian military, your ideas of overthrowing this regime is patheitc and weak and will not come to fruition.

Russia doesn’t give a flying fuck what the EU thinks.

Hell Germany relies on Russia gas to power most of their shit. All Russia has to do is shut off the gas and the EU backs off
