Alright, let's say, hypothetically, that some form of dictatorship, be it Emperor Pence, a socialist revolution, a reactionary junta counter couping a communist coup, or Nazi Empire, arises in the United States. They ban free speech(or at least speech against them) Gay rights, and do a lot other things that fit in with their ideology. Would you risk your life an job to rally a revolution, March on Washington, storm the white house, and put a bullet into their heads? And if you were employed as a guard for this regime, would you risk your job and life to kill the dictator when you can protect him from a revolution that will likely not succeed?

This indeed; a lot of them most likely got the job offered, knew it pays well and it keeps their family safe and fed. There are indeed those who enjoy torture and abuse, those are the ones who should indeed be removed, but who knows. Belarus has always been a complicated nation. Sometimes I regret asking a friend of mine about her growing up there; it still makes no sense to me mostly.
