Are rebellious youths capable of detonating with 1.5 kilotons of power? I know it may sometimes seem like it, but I doubt it.

Maybe they were welding the doors shut as a prank when it sparked?

if you are not really careful with explosive material, bad things can happen very quickly.

I know Donald suggested it was terrorism with no evidence. But you don't have to keep supporting him long after it's been shown it isn't.

So why are you suggesting it's anything other than the tragic accident it's being reported as?

If you leave thousands of tons of explosive material sitting in poorly controlled conditions for years, bad things happen.

So given that the economy is import-dependent and this blast wrecked the country's largest port, can we agree that Lebanon is pretty much fucked at this point?

I will argue for both sides:

It was a Terrorist attack because it hit the Palace, and a second explosion happened that wasn't caused by the warehouse soon after. The Terrorists are either a Hezbollah, who doesn't reveal their cause because they have government members who support them, or it wasn't Hezbollah and it was a secret Terrorist group who is keeping quiet because they didn't want to be revealed.

It was an accident! The explosion that hit the palace was the second explosion that was caused by the first, both are just accidents! And Hezbollah would lose it's Government Support if they attacked the Palace, and there is no way a secret terrorist group would be unfound yet!

Yes. There is lots of it. AN stored for 6 years in a warehouse. Welding work going on at the doors of the warehouse. A fire.

It's almost like you have no idea what's going on. :)

A bunch of kids broke into a port during the middle of the work day, found a warehouse full of bags of dust as far as they would ever be able to tell, and set it on fire for shits and giggles?

The warehouse next to the grain silo. One of the most important and watched points in the Port.
