Out of curiosity why not? I mean, it's a simple free service you can just turn on in a web browser and keep in the background. It's easy to find what you want on it as well. So like, why wouldn't you? If anything that's really where it shines.

Because it has a Youtube app and sometimes I want to hear music, what else am I supposed to use?Purpelia wrote:HC Eredivisie wrote:My TV doesn't and it woudn't block the adds in a clip anyway.
Also, I use YT for listening to music (when not using my mp3/CD collection) because I don't know any other way.
But why and how would you watch music on your TV? I mean, even if you can why would you ever? I guess I am just too used to either going full ham if its a party or sitting down with headphones if its only me.

Pandora, Last.FM, iHeartRadio, SiriusXM, Apple Music, and Youtube all immediately come to mind.
Wait how ridiculously old are you that you listen to music on YouTube.
Its not 2008 anymore.

Your PC. I mean, frankly I am still not used to nor own nor desire a TV that can connect to the internet.Ifreann wrote:Back in the distant past when we were having parties, my friends would have YouTube on the TV and people would queue up songs with their phones.
A phone that connects to your TV? Yea... that's too weird for me. When I host a party I just put on a record and let my sound system do the talking.

Neither did I but it was on sale and I needed a TV, at first I thought I wouldn't use it but it's nice when i don't want to be on the PC (and it has better sound too).

Oligarchy or monopoly, it's never good for the workers.

Musicians not having the power to regulate their publishers because they are obscenely and irresponsibly wealthy is not the problem here?
No because musicians are making a fuss about not getting money despite getting millions from their labels anyway believing they're entitled to more money from streaming sites, why should someone successful like Taylor Swift, Garth Brooks, or Katy Perry receive more money, same goes for their labels like Republic, Big Machine, Capital, Warner Bros, ect.

Because they earned it?
Bezos weasels his way out of paying the millionaire hacks, he'll find a way to weasel out of paying the smaller musicians, much like Spotify is doing.

Earned it for what, singing some song and making an album that millions stream online for free because it's widely available because it's the internet?

The average person on the Internet doesn't have $100 billion in the bank. Bezos's greedy ass wants to use it, he can pay for the privilege.
