It's a shame that people think that is a Biblical position at all. Jesus never said anything like that, he actually loved sinners and didn't use the Bible to justify hate.

I find that when people say 'we just want what's best for you', it usually just means 'just gib me control of your life I'm much better'. As Geneviev said, I doubt someone like Jesus would have said something like that.

Why is it still socially acceptable to refuse service to members of the LGBTQ community, but discrimination based on race is universally condemned?

If the guy had said "my religion doesnt accept interracial marriage, I cant film this wedding", it would not be so simple as go find another photographer.
