All this civil unrest, Portland included, will tear apart this country and cause infighting among neighbors, co-workers, and between people on the street who never met each other before. It's like a violent game of laser-tag between the two teams, Red (Repub) and Blue (Demo).

It all boils down to 3 sides:

• The Left, who pushes for the destruction of the 'nuclear family' and the abolition of police, the legalization of polygamy (Some are for it, but not all of them), and the end of the 2nd Amendment. And, just like the Right, which is mentioned below, the Left is currently pushing for a moron (one whose brain is made of soup) to be elected President.
• The Right, who pushes for the preservation of the police (I want law enforcement, but they gotta hire better, more competent officers), the protection of the 2nd Amendment, and protection of traditional ways (like the 'nuclear family', monogamy, etc.). And, like the Left, the Right also pushes for a moron (in this case, a businessman who thinks "business & politics are practically the same thing") to be elected President.
• And then there's everyone else, who worries every day that either someone is going to attack them for doing something normal, that someone will make a false accusation against them, or that they'll get fired for literally anything. As the stock image boomer meme put it perfectly: "Man, I just wanna grill for God's sake"

If everyone made offensive jokes and/or used offensive words and slurs, be it about race, sexuality, religion, culture, etc., the result would be that nobody would get upset about it anymore, as everyone would be doing the same. In it's verbal form, racism and sexism would not exist anymore.

I really hope this kind of stuff doesn't continue or escalate during the next administration...
