It’s what the data seems to suggest based on what’s happening with the virus’s behavior in NYC and Italy.

New York has 25% infected overall. What likely has happened is those likely to have contacted and spread the virus have much higher rates ie service personal, medical workers, and retail.

The other issue in New York is weather, now that we know central air and heating spread the virus in New York your bodegas can turn off the AC, open the doors and run some fans and generally be workable. The office buildings that use central air are still mostly closed as their employees are working from home.

The problem arises for NYC in winter where heating is not an option. This may explain why the south had few infections initially but many in the summer.

The article (via Maria Sierra) claims that infection rates have gone from 8/100,000 at the end of last month, which was about three weeks ago, to 27/100,000 today. Over what time period is not stated - although Blackburn (with Darwen, if we must be precise) and locked-down Leicester are both recording 11/100,000 per day at this stage. The above does not use a particularly good yardstick: somebody who has no immediate access to the other relevant data cannot easily ascertain how bad the situation was a few months ago when coronavirus was peaking in Spain using the data given above, while local outbreaks can probably mess about with national infection rates about as easily as they can national R numbers.

Hopefully, yes. But it should have been down to zero a long time ago. They are the only Nordic country still seeing daily deaths, and while nordic citizens can currently travel freely between Denmark, Finland, Norway and Iceland, Swedes are not allowed entry to any of those countries without a 10 day quarantine upon entry.

In short, Sweden is way behind the comparative curve, with a much higher rate of deaths, and an almost similar level of negative economic impact. The evidence point to the choices made were bad, yet swedish health authorities arrogantly maintain that "Sweden did everything right, and all other countries have handled this incorrectly".

If you actually cannot understand Swedish do tell because this is easily construed as misinformation if a guy fluent in the language looked at what you are posting and what's actually been said. What's actually been said is Norway is going to suffer if another wave hits while Sweden would comparatively do better because we have more people who are now immune to COVID19 and since we haven't shut down society we have options, Norway doesn't.

Your attempt implying a threat through modly sanctions has been noted and rejected. I listened to his press conference, which I linked to above. You may notice that it's in Swedish, and that should be a hint.

The only difference between your post and mine is that you specify that he mentioned a potential second wave. The notion that Norway doesn't have options is laughable by the way, considering how well Norway has dealt with the situation.

Tegnell has several times said that Sweden will end up in a better situation than Norway in the long run, and it is in that context my post was made. This is just yet another time of him saying that. I agree with the people speaking up against him and his disatrous choices, though you might accuse them of "misinformation" as well.
