People over the age of 50 can now get vaccinated in WV. Additionally, school staff over age 40 and all adults with preexisting medical conditions can get vaccinated. Which means that my mom should receive a vaccine notification soon (we both preregistered for vaccination back in January).

This came up theoretically a few weeks ago, and "back of the line" was my suggestion. Mind you, that would be back of all the lines not just the group line, but this is a fair compromise. People who refuse a shot because they don't like the brand are wasting everyone's time, and unless you have people who will come in on call (and live locally) it likely means one less vaccination that day.

Other centers list the version they have when you set your appointment. So in that case you can pick.

If one version (or brand) is more popular than the others, that comes down to the people who booked early getting them all. I think I prefer the choice not be offered, particularly in advance, and patients would have to care enough to ask the registration nurse.

See I have a loophole with vegetables because I have friends who’s relatives garden. I rarely get any of my vegetables from grocery stores. And I get eggs from the farmer’s market.

Really not sure what the current discussion points are in this thread; just stopped by to say that after having trouble sleeping (writing this in the 6 AM hour in my time zone) and happening across another site that finds the worst of social media which was filled with misinformation and logical fallacies as it relates to Coronavirus, it gave me a greater appreciation for the standards here on NS.
