This Thursday on the 23rd will be the comet's closest approach to Earth. Weather will prevent me from getting my first good look at it until Wednesday, but I'm hoping I'll be able to sight it from then on each night.

It is fading as far as naked eye observing is concerned, hard to pick out even from a darker sky site now.

However, it is still a very nice object to observe through binoculars. Saw it last Friday and then again on Sunday evening.

I don't have binoculars, and the horizon near my apartment is filled with trees in the direction it was most visible.
