I'm not entirely comfortable with the US custom of indemnifying witnesses to greater crimes. It quite obviously leads to false testimony, and aside of that all crimes should be punished equally. "Good deeds" like giving evidence against accomplices in crime, should be no different than "good deeds" done since committing a crime. Slightly reducing the sentence, no more than that.

But given the US way, Maxwell could be given a greatly reduced sentence, in exchange for her testimony against others. Busting more pedophiles matters more than a heavy sentence for the one pedophile who got caught.

That being said, I'm not really sure what there is to say about this other than whatever style of joke one wants to make. I mean, NH2 raised an interesting point... but I don't really have an opinion on it.
