Once upon a time, it was considered a conspiracy theory to think the government was spying on your phone.

We now know the NSA has been doing that for years.

And that it was at one point bad to think companies like Google spy on you

Too bad that's a reality now

Prince Andrew claimed in an interview that ever since the Falklands its physically impossible for him to sweat, possibly the stupidest excuse a human has ever given, so I really don't think he's capable of being behind an assassination.

Besides, everyone knows that arranging "accidents" is Prince Philip's department.

Yet somehow Maxwell managed to evade the FBI for a significant amount of time, while doing things like buying a house in New Hampshire, having phone conversations with her lawyer, living with the CEO of a hedge fund...

They normally arrest first then announce charges.

Though it is strange she is still here. She is a wealthy British citizen born in France, so many commonwealth countries she could have gone to and then transferred to a former French colony that doesn't extradite when Epstein was arrested.

Paddy Power has it.

They also pegged Obama being shot at 1 in 10. I made so much money there.

Excellent.

She's rich, well connected, and evaded the FBI for months while not even leaving the country. She's definitely a flight risk.

Normally I don't peddle B-grade Netflix documentaries, but the one they put out on Epstein is horrifying in the way it tells the viewer who Maxwell is. How anybody can be so seemingly charming, friendly and jovial while simultaneously playing a part in a sex-trafficking ring is vomit inducing.

Glad she was denied bail, I eagerly await her testimony, provided we don't see a repeat of Epstein & Acosta (IE she amasses the best legal team and gets off with a plea bargain that doesn't do the victims any justice).

I'd be interested in live streaming her cells footage, as long as she has shower and toilet privacy.

From what I've found online about her biography, she basically grew up in a wealthy family and was accustomed to the "good life" before her father died and became disgraced via some incident or scandals and subsequently, she lost most of her previous economic status but using the little she had left, she moved to the US and had the "good fortune" (from her perspective) to become associated with Epstein soon after, who had massive amounts of wealth she could be apart of indirectly.

She went to work for Epstein for more than a decade as a means of being able to live the "wealthy life" once again via being at Epstein's side. Whatever Epstein wanted, she'd make arrangements for it to happen. Epstein happened to want younger and younger women and then girls to consort with sexually, so she went about helping him in that endeavor which has led to now more or less. Epstein is dead and gone and everything she wanted or hoped to gain has unravelled and she's lost it all again, but is now doomed even more than was the case- right before her move to the US.

As much of a good laugh as the whole "Maxwell will kill herself" trope is, I actually don't see it.

I mean, say Epstein was killed by someone who was afraid of being exposed. You figure they'd not try it again after the reaction Epstein's death garnered. Hear me out, you're a powerful person who kills a former associate to cover your own ass. Do you really think you can get away with it twice and expect people to believe it this time?

Plus, after the backlash the SDNY and the Feds as a whole got from Epstein's death, I imagine this time they probably will try to make sure there isn't a death on their hands, by being far more proactive.

I don't get the idea of asking for bail because of the covid risk, surely if you release one person for that you should release everyone?

They also weren't suspected of enabling child molestation and known to be flight risks with resources to evade law enforcement.
