Reddit Starts One-Sided Censorship

Rule 1: Remember the human. Reddit is a place for creating community and belonging, not for attacking marginalized or vulnerable groups of people. Everyone has a right to use Reddit free of harassment, bullying, and threats of violence. Communities and people that incite violence or that promote hate based on identity or vulnerability will be banned.

Marginalized or vulnerable groups include, but are not limited to, groups based on their actual and perceived race, color, religion, national origin, ethnicity, immigration status, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, pregnancy, or disability. These include victims of a major violent event and their families.

While the rule on hate protects such groups, it does not protect all groups or all forms of identity. For example, the rule does not protect groups of people who are in the majority or who promote such attacks of hate.

It's official, Reddit is turning into a reverse Nazi Germany (which is just as bad as the real Nazi Germany). Not to mention, r/BigChungus also got banned. That ALONE is not a good idea in my opinion

…Reddit is not turning into a “reverse Nazi Germany.”

For one thing, the only gas chambers are on fetish subreddits.

OP, mind giving your own opinion?

Also, how is reddit turning into Nazi Germany. If anything, I don't remember Nazi Germany banning obviously hateful groups.

My opinion is that it's a bad idea

And the fact that they're allowing hate speech against the MAJORITY (whites) only adds fuel to the fire

Why.

Also, you still haven't explain how it's becoming a reverse Nazi Germany.

Shorter, simpler, and protects everyone.

My point is this part of reddit's rule
the rule does not protect groups of people who are in the majority

Either ban all hate speech or ban none of it, you don't get to choose which hate speech to ban.

Gotta love modern progressivism. You can be as racist and grotesque as you want as long as it is against the "right" people.

..But no? Where are people being racist here? When people make subreddits like r/fragilewhiteredditor, if you haven't noticed, most of the people there are white. It's people pointing out the hypocrisy of many redditors: complaining about the fragility of minorities, getting called a light slur (eg "cracker") and then freaking the fuck out.

That is reddit.

Couldn't they have just labeled it NSFW and be done with it?

That is reddit.

Remember: mods took action against someone for using "cracker"

At least Nationstates isn't one-sided

Ah yes, shutting down harassment and hate groups is so awful. In fact, it's just as bad as Nazi Germany.

..No? What does having to label it NSFW have to do with anything? If you haven't noticed, white fragility is peaking right now as when Caucasian people get even a slight taste of racial discrimination, they freak out. And you know what, I don't blame some of them. But reddit is not "racist" towards white people.

I didn't realise all Nazi Germany did was change some rules that bans discrimination against all but a fairly loosely defined majority.

Though to make an actual point beyond "a Nazi Germany comparison is stupid", the rule should've protected people in the majority from genuine discrimination, harassment, bullying etc.

I give it a 0/8

3 points deducted for hate speech rules
3 points deducted for not enforcing them equally

Didn't the El Paso shooter talk about how mexican's were "invaders" on r/thedonald? If anything, reddit is fed up with acting like r/thedonald, the people who continue to compare themselves to Holocaust survivors, is normal.

Give it a day and Ben Garrison will make his comic about why Reddit is killing "free speech".

They are treating the undefined majority like hot garbage! That's what's wrong with it!
